4 Hairstyles That Bring the Heat While Keeping You Cool
Looking good when it’s hot and humid outside can feel like a challenge. However, with the right hairstyles, you can feel fly no matter the temperature. Here are a few looks that are easy and so hot.
A top knot is a classic way to keep your hair out of your face and off your neck so you can stay cool no matter if it’s 75 or approaching triple digits. Rock a messy top knot for an easy, edgy look, or use a few bobby pins to neaten up the edges for a classy, summery look. Before putting up your hair and securing it, pull out a few wisps by your ears and consider framing your face with bangs.
Let It Go Natural
This hairstyle won’t necessarily get your hair off your neck, but it can still keep you cool. Instead of pulling out the straightener or curling wand, let your hair air dry for a natural look. Be sure to moisturize the ends and use a salt-spray to give your hair dimension and volume — this look is especially good if your hair tends to have natural curls or waves.
There are more ways to braid your hair than the French braids that you rocked at summer camp — though there is nothing wrong with that! Rock a side braid, try a fish-tail style, or embrace your inner summer goddess with a braided crown. Want to rock a braid, but still don’t want your hair on your neck, after you braid your hair, put it up in high or low bun.
The half-up-half-down look has grown in popularity over the last few years and there are a few good reasons why. First. It’s easy — simply pull half of your hair up into a ponytail or top knot. Secondly, it takes very little time, and thirdly, you don’t have to pull out the heat tools. A half-up-half-down look allows you to rock long hair but still stay cool when half of your hair is off your neck.
These are just a few of the many ways to beat the heat this summer. Experiment and have fun! Summer is all about having fun and staying cool. Don’t forget to make an appointment with your favorite Crystal Lake salon!
